Anne dreamed of meeting Alfred Hitchcock during his visit to Switzerland, but the famous director has already left. Her fiancé, Jean, is completely broke. The young couple then resorts to a scam to pay for their vacation. Anne drops her worthless necklace at the feet of Monsieur Georges, who accidentally steps on it. To make amends, Georges invites her to his room.
